Cattle Baron’s Ball 2018
Alex and James Ballengee, of Ballengee Group, were top-tier sponsors for the 2018 Cattle Baron’s Ball and helped raise record-breaking funds benefitting the American Cancer Society to support cancer research in Dallas, Texas.
The Cattle Baron’s Ball relies on the spirit and generosity of the Metroplex to fund the fight against cancer. Since 1974, we’ve raised over $77 million for cancer research, the majority of which is conducted right here in DFW. True to Texas’ history of rising to the challenge, we’ve become the world’s largest single-night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Red River Celebrity Softball Game
The 2nd Annual Red River Celebrity Softball Game Presented by Sewell on Thursday October 4 at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas will feature two celebrity softball teams representing long-time rivals Texas and Oklahoma as they face off for bragging rights and to raise money for charity.
7-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens heads a team of UT alumni including actor Matthew McConaughey, NFL players Vince Young, Roy Williams and Ricky Williams, and MLB players Shane Reynolds and Huston Street.
On the other side, popular country star Toby Keith leads a Sooner team that includes NFL players Mark Clayton, Billy Sims, MLB players Bobby Witt and Brad Penny, and head coaches Barry Switzer and Bob Stoops.
Proceeds will benefit The Toby Keith Foundation and the Roger Clemens Foundation.
